Friday, April 13 (Carnival): 5 – 10 p.m.
Saturday, April 14 (Parade): 11 a.m.

This year, Northwestern High School students have planned a Community Fair on Saturday afternoon from 1-4 p.m., following the parade. Information vendors will be set up in Magruder Park all afternoon. Students have also lined up performances from the Choral Ensemble, Jazz Band, VPA Dance Club — among others. See the city’s website for a list of vendors and entertainment schedule.

Calvert Brewing is returning with lots of Honeyville Ale on Saturday beginning at 6 p.m. and Timbason la Original, a Cuban band, will play from 6:30-8:30 p.m. before the fireworks show.

Please note that special parking restrictions will be in effect before and during the parade along the route from Hyattsville Middle School along 42nd Avenue (starting at Oliver Street), Jefferson Street, and Hamilton Street (between Gallatin Street and 40th Place up to 37th Place) until it reaches the reviewing stage at Magruder Park. The parade route will be designated a NO PARKING area between the hours of 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 14. Any vehicle parked in violation during the designated hours will be towed.
