BY CAROLINE SELLE — At approximately 4:15 p.m. on February 18, WSSC work crews were out at the intersection of Madison Street and 33rd Avenue to repair a broken water main. Water streamed down 33rd Avenue as students walked home from school, and several walked through snowbanks to avoid the freezing water, and the asphalt was buckled in several places.

Madison Street was closed between Lancer Place and partway towards 33rd Place A member of the work crew said WSSC would be repairing the broken main for three to five hours and expected to finish that night.
